O presidente da Câmara dos Deputados, Rodrigo Maia (DEM-RJ), demonstrou nesta terça-feira (18/02/2020) que está confiante na aprovação das reformas tributária e administrativa até o fim deste primeiro semestre. “A tributária e a administrativa têm muita chance de estar bem avançada ou aprovada até o fim do primeiro semestre”, disse o parlamentar, após ser questionado sobre prazos para os projetos.
Antes disso, Maia havia rejeitado a possibilidade de a administrativa ficar para o ano que vem, atraso que poderia ocorrer em razão do calendário apertado e do número de propostas em discussão em outras áreas, como a reforma tributária e a PEC emergencial.
“Há chance de aprovar todas as reformas este ano. Tem muita vontade dos parlamentares e a Previdência mostrou isso. Os parlamentares querem mostrar que o Parlamento tem responsabilidade e compromisso com o Estado brasileiro moderno”, disse.
Maia negou também que possa haver aumento da carga tributária em razão da reforma do sistema. Ao contrário, disse que vai haver redução.
“A carga já é de 36% (do PIB), que nós vamos garantir na reforma tributária que vai cair, é de 36% para baixo nos próximos anos. Não haverá R$ 1 de aumento na carga”, disse. “E se fizer a administrativa, teremos espaço para reduzir a carga”.
